Increase in economic activities resulting from increase in population and social advancement has led to increase in electrical energy demands. This has increased the burdens on the existing transmission assets and in some cases, has caused the loading of the transmission assets beyond their design limits with consequent reduction in power quality and power outages in extreme cases. Many techniques have been developed to enhance the capabilities of the power grids. This paper looks into these techniques with the view to exploring their applicability to the Nigerian 330KV electric power grid, towards seeking ways to enhancing the performance of the grid for better asset utilization. A typical transmission line in the grid was modeled to assess its strengths and weaknesses. Enhancement techniques were then applied to assess their impacts on the line.linzess patient assistance

The Internet of Things (IoT) has been inscription in this review paper. Internet of Things is a keyword to cover various challenges related to internet and the web to the real physical world. We know that, today internet has already taken an important part of everyday life and it has also dramatically changed the lives of human being. The most important factor of this invention is, integration or combination of several technologies with the communication system solutions. The most applicable factors of IoT is the identification and tracking various factors for smart objects. The universal sensing networks is enabled by Wireless Sensing Networks (WSN) and these technologies cuts across many areas of modern day living. The escalation of these devices in a communicating and actuating network will create the Internet of Things (IoT). Here the sensors and actuators combine easily with the environment around us and the information is shared across various platforms in order to develop a common operating picture (COP). Internet of Things predicts the future that, the advance digital world and the physical world will get linked by means of proper information and wireless communication system technologies. In this survey paper we have mentioned the visions, concepts, technologies, various challenges, some innovation directions, and various applications of Internet of Things (IoT).husband cheated wife

The appearance in recent years of the two-motor electric drives on the presses of high speed paper machines ensures increasing of the life of expensive press felts and improvement of production quality. The easiest and accurately acting from the different existing control systems of drives are two-motor drives with a total speed controller and individual thyristor converters for each motor separately. In this paper we study the dynamic characteristics of the system with a digital controller and correctors. The mathematical model of two-motor thyristor electric drive, taking into account the elastic properties of mechanical transmissions, is given. Applying the logarithmic frequency characteristics for tuning of digital controllers, correctors and current sensors of the drive system are given. The results of investigations of transient processes using the MATLAB sources are presented. This system guarantees maximum performance and proportional distribution of load between the motors without any additional controllers.zithromax pill

In this paper the voltage regulation of a grid bus is studied. The bus accepts real power from a wind park through a medium voltage cable. The changes of the wind speed result in large alterations in the exchange of real and reactive power between the cable and the grid. As a result, the voltage of the bus is not stable. The installation of a Static Var Compensator(SVC) is a rational choice for the stabilization of the voltage. The SVC needs a controller which according to the difference of the measured voltage from its nominal value, it defines the equivalent susceptance of the SVC. So, the right amount of reactive power between the grid and the SVC is achieved. Two design techniques for the controller are proposed, both based on the theory of optimal control. The full theory of the optimal control used in the design procedure, is given clearly. In the first place, the nonlinear model is linearized in two ways and then the mathematical principles of optimal control are applied. The second input of the linearized model, regarded as disturbance, has been taken into account in the design procedure. The proposed application of the optimal control theory has resulted in controllers that can be regarded approximately as PI controllers andso, their implementation is very easy. The whole nonlinear system has been simulated in SIMULINK so as the response of the proposed system to be judged. The results are satisfactory. Despite the large variations in the exchange of real and reactive power between the wind park and the grid, the variation of the grid voltage is under 1.5%.coupons for drugs

Nigeria is endowed with oil and natural resources but the country cannot be said to have ever had adequate supply of electricity in the history of its electricity generation. This might get worse, as the country’s population increases and economic development is calling for more demand of energy. The gradual diminishing of fossil fuels and the effort to save the eco-system from global warming has seen nations turning to alternative sources to meet their energy demands. It is therefore, imperative that renewable energy solutions be proffered to cater for Nigeria impending industrialization and its energy crisis which leaves many industries running at high cost and keeps many private homes in blackout. This paper discusses the potentials of renewable energy as an additional generation source to meet the energy demand of Nigerian populace. It focuses on the country’s energy crisis and how its natural resources can be harnessed to meet the nation’s energy demand while reducing global pollution. An analysis of projected energy capacities from the abundant renewable energy resources and how much of these resources are required to be harnessed in the proposed energy mix- to achieve over 60,000MW of power- was presented.the cost of an abortion
